In the spring of 2007, the Design Group was retained by the City of Albuquerque to assist them in the planning of land they had recently obtained on the corner of Central Avenue and Unser Boulevard on Albuquerque’s west side.

The process began with a facilitated all-day design charette to obtain public input and generate initial conceptual ideas for the project. Results from this charette were compiled and developed into a site plan that will serve as a model and catalyst toward transit-oriented commercial development in this area. Throughout the process, the Design Group has worked closely with the public and with City staff to ensure that the needs and goals of the City and the public could be integrated and realized to the greatest extent possible.
