A contributing building within the Santa Fe historic district, Carlos Gilbert Elementary School was originally built in 1942. The Design Group developed a new master plan for library and kindergarten additions including new bus, visitor and parent drop-off and pick-up areas. Our work also included Phase I renovations and improvements to campus ADA access, the historic exterior facades, food service and mechanical and electrical systems. We also developed a comprehensive historic structures report that will guide the district in future renovation phases.
