For Eye Associates of New Mexico, The Design Group created a new, state-of-the-art, 29,000 square foot, two-story Eye Clinic located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The project is comprised of forty-four eye lanes, and the facility includes a special Pediatric clinic, a Lasik suite, and a retail optical shop. The exterior of the building is designed to reflect the Architectural language of the Eye Associates sister clinic in Santa Fe and is designed by the same design team while with another firm.

Dark rust stucco colors, similar to those found on the Santa Fe facility, serve to enhance the formal massing of the building. This design creates and highlights Eye Associates’ brand identity for their facilities.

Inside, a large and open central waiting area has clerestory lighting and a featured accent wall. At the ends of this waiting area are two courtyards that take advantage of the abundance of pleasant weather in Albuquerque. On the second floor; there are two outdoor terraces and a large, fully glazed employee break room; each aligned to serve up beautiful mountain views to the east and south.
