The Master Plan includes a new government center, newly designed plaza, and an infusion of new retail, commercial and residential spaces. Community design charettes resulted in identifying several catalytic projects that would help generate further private development, including new parking structures with mixed-use liner buildings, a new multi-plex movie theater, condominiums and apartment buildings. The entire plan includes fifty city blocks downtown and connects two historic neighborhoods with new pedestrian walkways.
