The Design Group collaborated with local architect Jack Nottingham on Plaza Cañon – a new City Center in Taos, New Mexico. Detailed with hand-honed doors, forged steel rails and expressed timber beams that recall the nearby pueblos, Plaza Cañon is the first major mixed-use commercial development in Northern New Mexico. Over forty upscale shops, restaurants and offices are clustered about two performing arts plazas to form a commercial village on a ten-acre site.

Access to public transportation and high-speed internet were priorities in the design. All ten buildings in the multi-million dollar development provide open, flexible plans with high ceilings and ample access to natural light. Plaza Cañon was designed with current new urbanism concepts, including park-once-and-shop and sustainable building designs.
