The new Christus St. Vincent Cancer Care Facility will deliver comprehensive, state-of-the-art treatment to the high desert of Santa Fe and northern New Mexico in a new facility designed to nourish the body, mind, and spirit of the region’s cancer community.
The new building will be easily accessed by patients and staff due to its location on St. Michael’s Drive, immediately southeast of the existing Medical Center. The building is a two-story, 75,000 sf facility of which approximately 9,000 sf will be leasable clinic space with the balance dedicated to cancer care. The cancer center will provide a complete spectrum of care. The Medical Oncology clinic will provide service with a 2nd floor infusion center that overlooks the distant Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Radiation Oncology services will be centered around 2 LINAC rooms, and an Imaging department will provide X- ray, PET-CT, CT, Ultrasound, and Angio Imaging services. Space for a future MRI or 3rd CT device will be reserved in the Imaging department. A Palliative Care department will include acupuncture and massage therapy rooms. To round off the patient’s care journey, Ancillary Services such as social work, financial counseling, a nutritionist’s office, and meeting rooms for patient support groups and education are all included in the new facility.
