The Lea County Health Complex is a renovation of a portion of an existing building in Hobbs, New Mexico for the purposes of operating a rural health clinic and specialty clinic to address the primary care needs of Lea County and shortage of specialty services in the area. The project is one of many projects that The H+M Design Group has completed for Nor-Lea hospital district in Southeast New Mexico. This project was completed through collaboration between the Lea County and the Nor-Lea Hospital District. The project location is in an existing county building that was currently not being used.
The contract was negotiated and the construction consisted of demoing the existing non-load bearing partitions and walls and transforming the space from a drab, dark office environment into a welcoming efficient, effective clinic to serve the citizens of the Hobbs area. Warm finishes were specified to create a comforting healing environment. In addition to the architectural and engineering design, The H+M Design Group also was responsible for site work and interior design and furniture selection.
